Why does it seem that Ammon’s arm was so much stronger?

Thomas R. Valletta

“In antiquity the arm invoked ideas of power or strength, both human (see 2 Nephi 4:34; 19:20; D&C 1:19) and divine (see Enos 1:13; D&C 3:8; 15:2) … .

“Occasionally the scriptures mention righteous men as God’s emissaries on earth and in so doing state metaphorically that their arms symbolize God’s arm (see D&C 35:13–14; 1 Nephi 22:10–11)” (Gaskill, Lost Language of Symbolism, 28).
