Referring to the inspired speeches delivered by Alma and Amulek to the people of Ammonihah, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland wrote: “This is a significant amount of information about the Savior’s ministry, especially when we realize it was given in very hostile circumstances and to a very threatening audience.” Yet, “in that cruel and violent circumstance, it was faith in Christ that gave Alma and Amulek their strength” (Christ and the New Covenant, 116). In other words, the faith that stirred up the wicked enemies of Alma and Amulek also delivered them from trial.
