“Melchizedek is probably a name-title rather than a personal name (Hebrew Malki-Zedek means ‘King of Righteousness’). The Savior was the King of Righteousness, and Melchizedek was a type of the Savior” (Ogden and Skinner, Book of Mormon, 1:417).
