Alma continues his summary review. Since he began with Adam and the bestowal of choice, he now shows that priesthood is the mechanism for transmitting the way to redemption and that it dates from that same foundation. Thus, choice has existed for human beings since Adam’s day, and the high priesthood has taught human beings the right way, also since Adam’s day. Alma extends the priesthood’s influence to the eternal future as well as into the past. Priesthood is a power and a mission that spans all of existence.
