Amulek said to Zeezrom: "[God] knows all thy thoughts, and thou seest that thy thoughts are made known unto us by his Spirit." (Alma 12:3.) This gift of discernment is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and it is through the proper use of this gift that the evils and designs of wicked men are made known to the prophets of God. In further explanation of this principle, Ammon, one of the sons of Mosiah, said: "[God] knows all the thoughts and intents of the heart; for by his hand were they all created from the beginning." (Alma 18:32.)
