“Spirit and the Body Shall Be Reunited Again in Its Perfect Form”

Brant Gardner

The resurrection is when the spirit and the body will come together again; the body being “restored” to its present state. Nothing will be missing from the body; likewise, we will still come before God with a “bright recollection of all our guilt.” Amulek continues to mark the difference between the temporal (physical) death and the problem of salvation.

As part of his explanation, Amulek uses the term “restored.” This concept will become very important in Alma 41 (see commentary accompanying Alma 41:4), but Amulek already has a clear understanding of it.
