Amulek reveals to the people something that they have not perceived: that they are actually already well past the hour of destruction, and that only the prayers of the few righteous among them have postponed the day of their utter annihilation. This is further evidence of the power of prayer. Let us pray in faith, and the Lord will hear and answer our prayers. We may even now be on our knees importuning the Lord of mercy to guide and influence those in our circle who’ve strayed off the beaten track. These souls may never know of our anguish and concern on their behalf—but the Lord knows, and He will save them in His own due time.
