“The Arms of Mercy”
The “arm of mercy” (3 Nephi 9:14) is a metaphor carrying essentially the same meaning as the promise that Christ would have “healing in his wings” (Malachi 4:2); that is, having broken the bands of death and conquered all the limitations of mortality, Christ is now in a position to extend those same blessings to all who will come unto him.
