If you did not answer yes to all the questions (see vv. 14–29), you failed the test. You are not prepared. You must prepare quickly. By examining your responses, you will know whether or not you have been spiritually reborn of God.
Note how envy and pride are at the heart of preventing all of us from experiencing true rebirth. Even the poor must be concerned about these detrimental characteristics (D&C 56:16–17). The desire to feel superior to our fellow human beings for any reason must be eradicated from our souls.
