Alma gives four reasons for the salvation of their fathers:
- They believed in the words of Abinadi, a holy prophet (v. 11).
- Their faith brought a mighty change in their hearts (v. 12).
- They humbled themselves and put their trust in the true and living God (v. 13).
- They were faithful (endured) to the end (v. 14).
The formula for salvation has not changed. It is as true today as it was in the days of Alma.
