“Deliver the Word of God”
Introducing the ministry of the Savior, Matthew recorded that Jesus “went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people” (Matthew 4:23, italics added). Such is everlastingly the pattern among the Lord’s prophets. They are ambassadors of the Word of God, teachers of eternal principles, witnesses of the verities of heaven, with no claim on mortal men for their power, authority, or message.
