I speculate that, since the measure appears to be tied to the thing measured (an amnor of silver apparently corresponded to a seon of gold), the name may have meant, not only a measure, but a measure of value. This latter meaning might reasonably be used as a personal name, as, for example, a daughter in our culture might be named “Ruby” or “Pearl.”
