“And They Did Impart of Their Substance”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
See Jacob 2:17-19. Oneness in spirit leads eventually to oneness in social relations, oneness in regard to this world’s goods and resources. As the people of God labor to acquire the gifts and callings of God, they come to know and experience the fruit of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:22). They come to truly love their neighbors as themselves. The Savior instructed the Latter-day Saints: “And now, verily, verily, I say unto thee, put your trust in that Spirit which leadeth to do good- yea, to do justly, to walk humbly, to judge righteously; and this is my Spirit” (D&C 11:12).
