“Preaching False Doctrines… for the Sake of Riches and Honor”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Occasionally false doctrine is disseminated by the “hopelessly ignorant,” those who make but feeble effort to discover and learn the truth. It is also presented and perpetuated by “the proud and self-vaunting ones,” those who “read by the lamp of their own conceit.” (Joseph F. Smith, Gospel Doctrine, p. 373.) And, of course, falsehood is made available by those more interested in filling their coffers than filling a need, those obsessed more with graft than with goodness.
