But Alma must teach something else. This is much more somber subject. He must describe in vivid terms what happens to the wicked who reject the gospel and turn against God. They will not come forth in the first resurrection. They will come forth at the sounding of the second trump to stand before God and be judged. And God will reject the wicked. And they will then be consigned into the punishment that is extremely severe and they will stay there until they have paid the uttermost farthing for every evil act they ever committed.
