“He That Will Hear My Voice Shall Be My Sheep”
My sheep hear my voice, the Shepherd said, “ and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). And to those engaged in the missionary labor of the last days, the Lord said: “Ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts” (D&C 29:7; see also Gospel Doctrine, pp. 12-14). To hear the word of the Lord-whether by the mouth of his servants or in holy writ-is to hear the voice of the Lord (see D&C 18:34-36).
