Even though the people of Limhi were not immediately set free, valuable lessons had been learned and eternal changes had taken place. The people had humbled themselves and become converted. With the help of Ammon, King Limhi began to make plans to escape from Lamanite bondage. The “voice of the people” was consulted. The Lord blessed them, and they were successful. They returned to Zarahemla and became subjects of King Mosiah II.
