Text: This chapter division was added in 1879. This verse is directly related to Mosiah 18:32 which described the army’s search for Alma’s people. At the end of chapter 18, Alma, warned of the army’s approach, leads his people away. This transition shifts from Alma’s people to Limhi’s, leaving Alma’s temporarily suspended, in the limbo of departure. Mormon resumes their account in Mosiah 23.
