Burdens become light through the liberating powers of Jesus Christ and through the ministrations of the Comforter. “Come unto me,” the Savior beckons, “all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30.)
“To Come into the Fold of God”
To be willing to come into the fold -of God is to be willing to join the Lord’s Church; it is to be led by the Good Shepherd, to be “submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child cloth submit to his father” (Mosiah 3:19). It is to be attentive to the quiet but certain voice of the Shepherd and to follow him and find comfort in his sheepfold.
