Abinadi ends his discourse by returning to the beginning. If the priests of Noah are to truly teach of the Mosaic law, they must also teach about the Atoning Messiah, “Christ the Lord, who is the very Eternal Father.” The emphasis on the Eternal Father reprises another of Abinadi’s arguments; that the Messiah is “God himself [who] shall come down among the children of men, and shall redeem his people” (Mosiah 15:1).
