If Christ had not made his atoning sacrifice there would be no end to this darkness and suffering. But even for the wicked there is a plan of redemption. It requires them to suffer until they have paid the uttermost farthing. They must not only satisfy the hosts of intelligences who measure the amount of suffering required to satisfy the demands of justice, but even those who suffered as their victims of atrocities and wickedness, they must also feel that they have suffered enough. Only then can they be "redeemed" and assigned to one of the lower kingdoms.
