When the wicked priests of King Noah started to question Abinadi, they asked him to interpret the following words of Isaiah: "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings; that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good; that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth." (Mosiah 12:21; Isaiah 52:7.) The possible interpretation of this scripture has been debated by many biblical scholars, because this verse of Isaiah is frequently quoted. Who are they who bring "good tidings," who publish peace, who publish salvation? Abinadi gives the answer in Mosiah 15:11-19: those who are heirs of the kingdom of God including "all the holy prophets ever since the world began." (Mosiah 15:12-13.) Abinadi mentions specifically "the founder of peace, yea, even the Lord." (Mosiah 15:18.)
