The servants of the Lord are endowed with power from on high and the promise of protection that they might accomplish the Lord’s errand. The powers of darkness, for all their seeming might, cannot defeat the purposes of the Lord. They may hinder the Lord’s servants, it is true, but they cannot prevent the accomplishment of his purposes. (See Helaman 5:25; D&C 3:1-2.)
