In the abridgment he made of the great number of plates in his possession, Mormon notes that after King Limhi had finished speaking to his distraught and greatly distressed people, he told them all the things Ammon had previously made known unto him concerning "their brethren in Zarahemla." By way of interpolation, Mormon also notes that only a few of the things King Limhi said in addressing his people were written by the abridger, himself, "in this book."
