The above account of the sixteen strong men finding the Land of Lehi-Nephi is self explanatory. The events of these two chapters all take place in just over six weeks.
Precepts of This Reading:
But if ye will turn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in him, and serve him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage. [Mosiah 7:33]
The formula for being delivered out of bondage given in this precept will be a theme through the next sixteen chapters of Mosiah and several of the following chapters of this work. An outline of Mosiah 7–8 follows as a preparation for a deeper study.
