“Withdraw Yourselves from the Spirit of the Lord”
We typically speak of the Spirit withdrawing from the evil doer. In this text, however, Benjamin suggests that it is the evil doer who withdraws from the Spirit. The unclean spirit by nature seeks the society of other spirits like itself.
