Mormon explains that he has a personal attachment to these records. He has certainly read them, and appreciates them for their prophetic position with respect to Christ. While the records only anticipated the coming of the Christ, Mormon knows that he came. Thus Mormon sees these records as a justification of the prophetic process, the promise being fulfilled.
