Jacob recaptures the essence of the allegory of the tame and wild olive trees in just four verses. He speaks by way of prophecy to confirm the certainty of Zenos’ words and to present a plain and simple view of the latter-day Restoration in which the Lord’s faithful are gathered to Zion. The Lord is a God of mercy and compassion, saving as many as will respond to His universal invitation to come unto Him. Those who reject Him will be separated and isolated in their own place.
