“It Grieveth Me That I Should Hew Down All the Trees”
Unless the gospel is accepted and lived by the children of Israel; unless the ordinances of the priesthood are received by those who were God’s peculiar treasure from the beginning; unless a welding link is established between generations through the sealing power of the priesthood-unless these things take place, “the whole. earth [will] be utterly wasted” at the coming of the Savior (D&C 2; Joseph Smith History 1:38-39).
