This second scattered branch represents another group of people. The scriptures do not tell us who they are—only that they were taken to a spot of ground [which] was poorer than the first and that they also had brought forth much fruit. This underscores the truth that we do not know all the workings of the Lord. He has had righteous people hidden away on the earth. These people believed in Christ and may have been visited by the resurrected Lord. We don’t have their writings or history, and we won’t have them until all things shall be revealed unto the children of men which ever have been among the children of men (2 Nephi 27:11).
