Having warned the people boldly concerning the insidious effects of their emerging pride and immorality, Jacob now brings forward the glorious case for embracing with full devotion the Lord’s plan of salvation, with all of its attendant blessings of hope and joy. Thus he labors diligently to record on his plates the Lord’s antidote to the darkness of sin, i.e., to accept the word of prophecy and revelation that we might know of Christ and His atoning sacrifice and align ourselves with the principles of happiness and redemption.
