“His Judgments”
The downward spiral of the prosperity cycle consists of the manifestation of God’s judgment (destruction and bondage). This is followed by humility, crying unto the Lord, and deliverance, which bring again the blessings of prosperity. Because “it is not given that one man should possess that which is above another” (D&C 49:20), no inequity or injustice shall go unchecked. Ultimately all must answer, “whether in life or in death” (D&C 50:8).
