It has ever been the purpose of the adversary to separate men from all association with God or his Spirit. No servant of God has ever argued that the heavens are sealed or that the canon of scripture is full; no servant of God has ever suggested that the honest should not seek his direction in all things. It is, as Nephi said, an evil spirit that teacheth a man not to pray. (See D&C 10:21.)
