We have been encouraged by all the prophets and the holy scriptures to live by the word of God. The only way to know the word is by diligent study of the word. The Lord condemns the people for treating lightly the Book of Mormon and the commandments (see D&C 84:57). The regular study of the scriptures literally brings Christ into our lives, for He is indeed the Word of God (see John 1; Revelation 19:13). Do we feast upon the word of God by searching the scriptures daily? The word will tell us how to proceed on the strait and narrow course and back home again.
