Continuing the same line of argument, Nephi emphasizes that Jesus was not only baptized but the ordinance was confirmed by the Holy Ghost lighting upon him in the form of dove. Nephi says the obedience of Jesus Christ in being baptized demonstrates the strictness by which the ordinances of the gospel must be obeyed.
