“Judge the Poor”
A feast of fat things, meaning the fulness of the blessings of the gospel and the house of the Lord, have been promised to the poor. Each person and nation is to hear the gospel, either in mortality or in the spirit world. In the providence of God it will go first to those nations of wealth and education, those nations whose faithful sons and daughters can then reach out to take the full blessings of the gospel to the “poor, the lame, and the blind, and the deaf” meaning the underprivileged nations, that all might come to the marriage feast of the Lamb. (See Isaiah 25:6-10; D&C 58:7-12; Revelation 19:7-9.)
