Yet a third technique of Satan is to whisper into the ears of those who think they are learned and tell them there is no hell, there is no devil. Therefore there is no judgment and there is no condemnation for wicked and depraved indulgences in sin. However, Nephi saw that all these people would be trapped in the snares of death and hell. After they died he saw them consigned to the region where the wicked must pay for their sins. He saw these spirits writhing in pain as the Father's spirit was withdrawn from them and they were thrust into what seemed like a lake of fire and brimstone until they had paid the uttermost farthing for their sins.
