Based on this same kind of irrational and befuddled thinking that Reverend Altizer had concocted, he and his fellow Christian agnostics began to proclaim that since God had done his work there could be no more miracles. Yet, it was a most astonishing miracle that Nephi saw a vision nearly 2,500 years ago that a servant of the adversary would proclaim: "Hearken unto us and hear ye our precept: for there is no God today, for the Lord and the Redeemer hath done his work, and has given his power unto man."
