“All Men Are Privileged the One Like Unto the Other”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

Of a truth, Peter declared, “God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him” (Acts 10:34-35).

He loves all of his children. But his love is not unconditional in the sense of treating all of his children alike; men and women are rewarded or punished according to their works (see Romans 2:11; Colossians 3:25).

Indeed, even though “the Lord esteemeth all flesh in one,” as Nephi reminded us, “he that is righteous is favored of God” (1 Nephi 17:35).
