The early Nephites even had their own church of Jesus Christ. Nephi says they talk of Christ, they rejoice in Christ, they preach Christ and prophesy of Christ. Nephi knew that few people like themselves realized that the law of Moses was already dead, but they continued to practice it just for their children's sake.
