Nephi here explains that he and his people are keeping the Law of Moses, while, at the same time, they are looking forward to the coming of Christ, with faith, as the true Source of the remission of sins and life eternal. He argues that the very purpose of the Law is to prepare the people for the coming of Christ to fulfil its requirements, in his life and death.
