Prophets prophesied that the Messiah would come into the world “six hundred years from the time that my father left Jerusalem” (the names of these prophets are not noted here). The prophets and an angel (2 Nephi 10:3) also revealed that his mortal name would be Yeshua haMashiakh (the Hebrew equivalent of the English “Jesus Christ” or “Jesus Messiah”) and that this long-awaited Messiah would be the Son of God.
