Nephi now fills in additional details concerning the history of the Jews. He says they will have numerous wars and they will become so wicked and hard hearted that they will crucify their Messiah in spite of all of his miracles. Nephi also verified the words of earlier prophets that Jesus will remain in the sepulchre for three days and then rise in triumph with healing in his wings. Nephi is filled with rapture as he contemplates the triumphant resurrection of Jesus.
