Nephi's focus shifts from the vision of the past to the redemption of the future. He introduces this information with the same medium by which he knew of the literal fulfillment of the destruction of Jerusalem - his own prophecy. Israel may have been carried away out of Jerusalem, but Nephi has prophetically seen their ultimate return. Israel will return to Jerusalem, a fulfillment now historical for the modern reader of this prophecy.
