“Save It Were Foretold Them by the Prophets”
The Lord God is merciful and gracious, eager to provide every opportunity for the wayward to repent and for the errant to improve and change. The Lord sends prophets to point up specific grievances which he has with his people; these prophets provide reproof, correction, and divine instruction which, when followed, will lead the sinner back to the path of salvation.
