Both 2 Nephi 24:4 and Joseph Smith’s translation of Isaiah 14:4 include the phrase “And it shall come to pass in that day.” This phrase is not in Isaiah in the King James Version. This significant change suggests that Isaiah’s prophecy applies particularly to the last days (see Ludlow, Companion to Your Study of the Old Testament, 291).
