“The Day of the Lord”
The verses in 2 Nephi 23:6–13 give an idea of what it will be like at the Savior’s second coming. It is to “come as a destruction from the Almighty” (v. 6). It is a day when “he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of [the land]” (v. 9). Compare verse 10 with Doctrine and Covenants 88:87, and 2 Nephi 23:13 with Doctrine and Covenants 88:89–91These verses describe changes that will occur just before the Savior’s second coming.
