We will now cover the twentieth chapter of Second Nephi. In this chapter Nephi wants to share with us the tenth chapter of Isaiah. Isaiah is still contemplating the devastating destruction which will come to the people of Jerusalem when the Assyrians come pouring down upon them.
In these first three verses Isaiah is pronouncing a wo upon the leaders who have been enforcing unrighteous decrees upon the people. They have turned away the needy who could not get their just rights enforced by their leaders. They have robbed the widows and orphans. But what will they do when they are trapped in the calamitous destruction the Assyrians will heap upon them? To whom will they flee for help? And to whom will they leave all their ill-gotten wealth before it is seized by the Assyrians?
