Terebinth, turpentine tree (Heb. ela, Isaiah 6:13, AV “teil tree”; Hosea 4:13, “elm”). The Palestine terebinth (Pistacia terebinthus var. palestina, or P. palestina) is a small tree occurring very frequently in the hills.
