Both verse 24 and 25 begin with "Therefore." This paralleling of the introductory word links the two verses into a set, with the more allegorical followed by the more literal. Each is to be seen as the same end, couched in different terms. The Lord will come in his righteous judgement and render that judgement against Israel. and that judgement will result in physical disaster for Israel that will be for them as the burning of a field. It will be for them the destruction of the old in preparation for the new.
